Could hot COCOA be the next "wonder drug" for high blood pressure? Harvard researchers praise stunningly simple discovery!
According to recent estimates, nearly 1-in-3 American adults has high blood pressure. But for the Kuna Indians living on a group of islands off the Caribbean coast of Panama , hypertension doesn't even exist. In fact, after age 60, the average blood pressure for Kuna Indian islanders is a perfect 110/70.
Is it because they eat less salt? No. Kuna Indians eat as much, if not more salt, than people in the U.S. Is it due to their genes? No. Kuna Indians who move away from the islands are just as likely to suffer from high blood pressure as anyone else! So what makes these folks practically "immune" to hypertension -- and lets them enjoy much lower death rates from heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, and cancer?
Harvard researchers were stunned to discover it's because they drink about 5 cups of cocoa each day. That's right, cocoa! Studies show the flavonols in cocoa stimulate your body's production of nitric oxide -- boosting blood flow to your heart, brain, and other organs. In fact, one study found cocoa thins your blood just as well as low-dose aspirin! But that's not all. A Harvard Medical School professor claims cocoa can also treat blocked arteries, congestive heart failure, stroke, dementia, even impotence!
BTW any doctors around to confirm this!?~?!~? =)

I love the following advertisement.
*****
Go.
it's one tiny, two-letter word that makes amazing things happen. go is action. it's the spark that starts the flame that sets everything in motion. go gets us to try things we've always wanted to try. go keeps us going no matter what life throws our way. go reminds us it's a big, beautiful world out there, and it's time to make the most of it. which is why more people around the world go with Visa. to get out there and play. to get out there and play.to get out there and do. to get out there and experience all the incredible things life has to offer.

infected by nostalgia. time's passing fast. it has been a year since i last went to taiwan for student exchange programme. sometimes i even wonder if i were given opportunities to be approved for more student exchange programmes, where i would go...
and the list, of course, goes U.K., U.S., hongkong, china....a super duper long one. that's all about life experience.
for now...i really miss those days in taiwan. i miss everyone of u, my cousin-esther and my friends-baohan, jinghan, violet, shirley, key, zixiang, cairong, dazhong,ni,nicholas, turson, lemon,NCKU pop dance group..........another super duper long list. many thanks for everyone of u to play a crucial part in my memories, with ur help and companion.my tansport in Tainan, esp in campus. i just randomly chose two out of plenty lots of pictures taken during sep in taiwan as symbols of recalling my memories. :)
I'm left behind and it's running too fast to be terminated. though how impossible it is, to retrieve, at least, i summon all my courage to reminisce.......

well, ts practical session went quite ok. if the highest is 20, and if i were to rate our presentation, i think we only attained either 11 or 12. for me, tat's not a good one. i lost those melodies, and some steps. one reason is, the lack of practices. therefore, to conclude, that's Practices make perfect! -.-"
"together forever and ever to tonight....together forever with you...."
i didn't go Oschool today, instead, i went for NUS dance Blast this afternoon, which was the second last session of this semester. in other words, last week's will be the last for this semester and I only made an appearance so far.

Charmaine has been diagnosed with neuroblastoma. She is currently in the 4th stage and fighting hard. We are greatly saddened that such a sweet and cheerful little girl has to undergo so much pain and suffering at such a young age.
I'm using this blog as a platform for anyone who wishes to share your stories and experience of having somebody close to you suffering from cancer. Please share your personal experience with neuroblastoma if possible. I would also appreciate if you could leave comments of encouragement for Cynthia and Charmaine.
