26 September 2009 Saturday morning, auntie ch.zhen, sister jingH., uncle heng, p.Luke, alex, mr hii I, seven of us departed to Tg. Pinang, a part in Indonesia.
Boarding passes were distributed to us. We went on board and the journey began. It took around one hour to reach Tg.Pinang. When we arrived safely, we walked to the hotel we were supposed to stay in, under the scorching sunlight.
This was the hotel we stayed in.
we were desperately in need of food. we were starving by then. after settled some errands like briefing at the child care centre and stuff like tat, finally we..... could eat!!!! =) Tg pinang wanton mee.7 of us consumed 10 bowls of wanton mee.
after dining session, we proceeded to a kampong-Batu Licing, which is around an hour distance from Tg Pinang....
and everything seems to back to their basics.....esp the ego of oneself.
Can u imagine they r still using this kind of stove? how old is it... perhaps decades, or even older and pls compare it with the following one....
a modern kitchen.
plus, kids are studying in this room.
nth much inside.apart from white boards, chairs and tables, nth else.
and again, pls compare it with this:
hope pictures convey more insightful and thoughtful morals or principles that shape ur life and character to the better point.
Please always keep the most tragic and cumbersome moments or images, say starvation ones or poverty ones, in ur mind, though they may not be the phases of life that u have gone through, so that we wont take everything, say tissue, water, electricity and other basics of human life for granted.
indeed, poor political protocols lead subsequently to these conditions, however, dun go that further to that extend, just here, i guess that's more thn enuff.

27 september 2009 sunday morning, 7Am indo time, we departed.
and they still live in their basis....
" even pigeons and swallows lost their way home, sing a song for them as a direction to guide them home safely..."

The crowd grossed us out when i went to Suntec for packed-men experience last week, as i have heard quite a several times that pc/it fair is always PEOPLE MOUNTAIN PEOPLE SEA. =.= and finally i got the image of how crowded it always is.
lingering crowd, reading information or advertisement boards.on the escalator, heading to the exhibition hall, each one seemed to have difficulty in breathing, just barely could make an effort to grasp a short breathe once in awhile as if the one right in front of us just sticked so intimately that blocked my nostrils. ok that's a bit exaggerating la.
even having hard time looking for seats in Food Republic. watching flow of crowd passing by.some were contentedly and satisfyingly carrying their goods away,as if they had been desiring the goods for like decades. anyway... avocado juice there is just...so NORMAL. never forget to mention also BA CUO MEE is just so NORMAL.

CHORAL MUSIC CAMP 2009 10th-12th September
OVER!:)

I enjoyed quite a lot though those theories are just inapplicable to me.a bit, not totally. LOL XD. that's just too tough to put into practice and action.
The piece of hymn that Group D presented,in which representatives of mpcc choir were involved! =)
THE GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE
every participant was given this black file with schedule of the camp attached inside.
Ive forgotten which choir they from. everyone was listening intently to the instructor's advices and techniques. I was just sitting behind. at the last row who anticipated for the harmonious came to an accordance or a chime that tingled the third note to sound subtly in the space.anyway, theories were just too abstact, though i may understand, it's another issue to put into actions. =.= a pretty long way to go. BY THE WAY... Glory presbyterian church is just nearby bkt timah market and i love the food there~ ok gonna show some pictures of foodies again.

esp this one, Advocado juice with gula melaka. the portion of gula melaka is just nice to blend with advocado juice seamlessly, instead of contrasting with one another.

Since when, I've kept these pictures unrevealed. for the past few days, I was quite busy, esp last weekends. Choral music camp has ended. It was a blast and beneficial. I understand the theories, however, whether or not I am able to correctly apply them, that's a matter of talent?! LOL XD.not really.I believe effort and hardwork lead u towards the goal successfully. =) agree?
Anyway, i guess there are quite a number of nice restaurants n foods in Jurong Point.
Again, Japanese Food!!

It comes with a set-noodle,rice,side dishes-2 dumplings and some fried vegies. taste not too bad,esp chicken terriyaki. The price is very reasonable.
i have no idea wats the name for this dish. a nice one,esp the smothering sauce.ok. gotta run errands and some other trivia work. ciao~************************************************************************ “[Imitating Christ's Humility] If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.”- Philippians 2:1-2

Jonathan and Joanna are so cute and adorable that whenever I happen to click on the lastest pictures uploaded by my younger bro, Nicholas, homesickness intrudes. =)

Am I not wrong to say that they are really sweet, cute and adorable!!??!? What do u think!???gosh, i'm couting down, reading and staring at the calendar, wondering when this semester is going to an end, though it means disaster to me when it really comes to the end.Still, that's an instictive will to return and to look up to my root where I grew up. =) *********************************************************************** "Even adults, they do still deserve and desire a craddlesong to lull them to sleep, and that seems to be a luxury or an extravagance to pray for, under the life of hovering reality...." -patrick the eggyolk-

Again a brand new and fresh week awaits me.
yet I am just about to upload these pictures (refer to below) which were taken last sunday.
I met up with NUS gang last sunday.perhaps I should not use the term 'gang' as we were only 3 to 4 in total. LOL XD Nothing special in Orchard ION.
Some design event taken place at Heeren. Nothing much interesting.
Painting, drawing, sculpturing on Converse shoes and the eventual outcome was....[left blank and unknown]
Continued heading to have dinner...
@a Japanese food restaurant.
Such a big bowl definitely gives u woohaa right, yet there is no much food inside.
As for mee with creamy sauce, this portion should be more than enough. I love the cheesy and creamy sauce.

I turned up at TTC last friday for Cultural Night. Thanks for the invitation.
[Pictures taken only after dining section]
There were two short stretches of stalls.aisle in between stalls for crossing to the lawn then sitting on the bench.a wide square for crowd to chit chat while eating food from different nations.
Performances started. Introducing representatives from different nations. they are from nepal, thailand, myanmar, german, malaysia, singapore, indonesia, hongkong, taiwan, china and etc...

as mentioned, all pictures were taken only after dining section, so u cant actually see what was inside trays, bowls and etc. the food's really nice! esp German sausage!!!!! Cambodia food is also nice!!! and and..what else...oh ya,mango sticky rice, satay, durian!!! btw, malaysia food is also nice, esp red-rice-residue-wine fatty pork and bla bla bla...overall, all food there is nice!! =)
i guess,it's more like Nation Nite, instead of cultural nite? *********************************************************************************** “The earth is filled with your love, O LORD; teach me your decrees.”- Psalm 119:64
